Deposit pressures are back. Growth has remained anemic in 2026, funding cost relief has largely run its course, and 4% CD specials are returning as the yield curve steepens.
At the same time, the likelihood of a Federal Reserve rate hike has increased, potentially setting the stage for the first hike from today’s elevated rate levels in nearly 30 years. Financial institutions must prepare for renewed pricing pressure, greater competition, and the risk of costly deposit cannibalization.
Join Darling Consulting Group’s Joe Kennerson and Billy Guthrie as they outline practical, winning deposit strategies for 2027.
